The Massachusetts and Austin Connection

If you’ve ever been to Austin, Texas, you know how much fun it can be. And if you haven’t been, well, you’re missing out! Of course, Austin is known for its live music scene, delicious food, and abundance of outdoor activities. But many people don’t know there are many similarities between Austin and Massachusetts.

Both states are home to welcoming communities, amazing natural scenery, and many places to explore. This blog will highlight some key areas to explore in Massachusetts and Austin – perfect for Keegs fans everywhere.

One of the best things about Massachusetts is its rich history. Boston, the state’s capital, is home to some of America’s most iconic historical sites. From the Freedom Trail to Fenway Park, there’s something for everyone in Boston. Exploring our nation’s history is a great way to learn more about where we came from and how we got to where we are today.

And if you’re looking to get away from the city, there are plenty of options. Cape Cod, Nantucket, and Martha’s Vineyard are popular tourist destinations for those looking to enjoy the beach. Aside from its rich history, my family and I can’t get enough of its outdoor scene. We love hiking in the Berkshires with activities like the Family Fun Trail, where you can set up a campground or zip-line through the treetops. Finally, let’s not forget Kidspace in the Boston Common, where Keegan can explore and play to his heart’s content.

No matter your age or budget, places like the Berkshires are perfect for families looking to get away for the weekend after a long work week. Keegan loves camping, fishing, and hiking – Massachusetts has no shortage of that.

Meanwhile, Austin is well-known for its live music scene, but there’s more to the city than that. Austin is also home to many parks and outdoor activities centered around Lady Bird Lake. Zilker Metropolitan Park is a must-visit for any nature lover. It’s over 350 acres and offers plenty of opportunities to hike, bike, or take in the scenic views. In my experience, the best way to explore a new place is to get out and about, and Zilker Park will keep you busy all day. There’s so much to do here that I can’t name it all, but the highlights include picnic sites, the Zilker Playscape for kids, the Austin Nature and Science Center, and the Barton Springs Pool.

I can’t start naming parks without mentioning the Alliance Children’s Garden, which Keegan loves; it’s an all-day affair that wears the family out, but it’s completely worth it. It’s an interactive playscape designed for kids of all ages and abilities, making it the perfect place to explore and have fun.

And if you’re looking for some more adrenaline-pumping activities, Austin has plenty of options for that. There’s no shortage of things to do in Austin, from zip-lining to kayaking. So, whether you’re looking for history, nature, or just a good time, Massachusetts and Austin have you covered. It’s worth noting that Massachusetts and Austin have a lot of similarities, and I see a lot of my hometown in this beautiful city. Austin has been great to my family and me, and we hope to continue finding new and exciting adventures to take as a family.

I was born and raised in Massachusetts, and Keegan loves exploring as much as he can while we’re here; as a former ‘little explorer,’ it brings back great memories to see him enjoying what my hometown offers. Keegan has a blast every time we visit Boston, and we make trips to see family and friends whenever we get a chance. Keegan loves adventuring, and that’s something we all have in common. He gets his sense of adventure from Brandi and me, and I’m so grateful to have a family that loves exploring and discovering new things together.

We have some fond memories of our time in Massachusetts, like walking along the beaches of Cape Cod, ripe with giant dunes, while Keegan stops to play in the sand, dig for shells, and jumps in and out of the chilly waters of the Atlantic Ocean. Or perhaps just the enjoyable drive up the Cape; we may live in Texas, but our love of Massachusetts will always remain.

As I’ve said, the KEEGS clothing brand encourages families to get outside and explore, and we are excited to be a part of that. Keegan is the perfect model for our brand because he embodies what Keegs is all about; he’s fearless, adventurous, and loves to have fun. Keegan inspired our brand from the beginning, and we are excited to see where Keegs takes us next. We know that without him, it wouldn’t be the same.
